To my utter dismay and soul-crushing agony, my son’s PC runs Windows 10.
Why? PC Games. He is a gamer and loves wasting his life either watching dumn people doing idiotic things on YouTube or Tiktok, or playing games. For this reason only I have allowed him to install Windows 10 on his PC - the OS created by Satan.
I havent used Windows personally for fourteen years and professionally for three years. No amount of money would see me accept a role at a company that subjects their staff to Windows.
My son is heading to college to start his computer studies-, IT- and games design career. I decided to ensure that VSCode and Python works on his PC to support his studies.
Trying to get Python to work properly on Windows is masochistic so I opted for WSL. From the get go, things did not go well.
After many cups of coffee, then wine, then vodka…I gave up. I installed Hermes Desktop, hooked it up to OpenRouter and told it to fix the pile of junk.
10 mins later. Done. Working. Everything perfectly working. I will never even try and fix Windows again. Here you go Hermes, you fix it.
